What are vulnerabilities and malware?

Website vulnerability is a flaw or mistake in the code of a website or web application that makes it possible for an attacker to take over the site and possibly the hosting server. Most flaws are taken advantage of automatically with tools like vulnerability scanners and botnets. However, malware, short for “malicious software,” is used to steal private information, hack websites without permission, and even take over computers.
