Eastern International Hotels Limited
Alams Advani Hotels Private Limited was founded in 1969 (Com Reg. No. 14275) for the purpose of carrying on the hotel business. The company's name was changed to Eastern International Hotels Limited. In 1970, the company purchased a block of land in Juhu with the intention of building a five-star hotel. The building began in 1971-72. The projected hotel has 210 residential units and all of the amenities of a five-star hotel. Holiday Inn, Bombay was the name of the hotel.
In April 2008, the company inked a management arrangement with ACCOR for its Mumbai hotel. Between February 2008 and June 2009, the hotel was closed for renovations. The hotel has been rebranded as NOVOTEL and reopened for business on July 1, 2009. In 1983-84, the company opened another residential hotel in South Goa called Majorda Beach Resort.
